Cultivating a more conservation-oriented travel experience is both an honor and an obligation for us!

Whether you’re a current tourism professional or aspiring conservation student, gaining firsthand experience contributing towards real-world conservation will catalyze personal and professional Growth

Having accumulated over 20 years of on-the-ground experience and expertise in designing and delivering conservation-oriented travel experiences for a wide range of individuals including both conservation & tourism professionals and under-graduate students, we are both inspired by and obligated to the opportunity to give back and share what we have learned. We currently offer two main training and study-based opportunities that are sure to transform our participants while improving real conservation outcomes.

  • Cultivating Conservation-oriented Travel Experiences

FOR INBOUND TOUR OPERATORS: Over the past 20 years, we have witnessed firsthand the power and purpose of directly integrating conservation activities and messaging into guest’s travel experiences. However, providing these conservation experiences often require new skill sets typically not offered in conventional lodge management or guides training. We offer 3-10 day custom training workshops for private sector partners who are keen to build capacity within their own staff and to upscale their conservation-oriented experiences and contributions. We focus on three key areas we call our 3M Approach: Conservation Mapping, Monitoring and Messaging. Further, we will help ensure that these activities are directly linked to existing conservation management which not only is a positive conservation outcome but also a tangible contribution your guests will truly appreciate.

  • Pursuing a Conservation Science & Practice Study Tour

FOR HIGH SCHOOL OR UNIVERSITY-LEVEL STUDENTS AND PRACTICING PROFESSIONALS: Our designers have extensive experience hosting, teaching and facilitating field-based conservation education for students. We also have an extensive network of professional conservation colleagues in the countries we work. Let us co-design a short-term (1-6 week) custom study tour that integrates academic (theoretical) discussions and debate with real-world exposure provided by professional conservation scientists and practitioners. Student accommodation may range from fully-catered lodges to self-catering campsites in remote settings. Groups size may range from as small as individuals to families to entire classes (15-20). In addition, Full Circle will continue with pro-bono mentorship following your tour.
